Class Climate - Participation Tracking

This document explains how an administrator of online Class Climate course evaluations can see which students have not yet completed the evaluation.

Class Climate is a campus enterprise course evaluation system used by UW Colleges to evaluate instructors for purposes of tenure, promotion, merit, and retention. By Senate policy, the Student Survey of Instruction will be administered for all courses every third semester, and may be administered for other courses upon request.

Some UW Colleges courses (UWC Online, NODE, and some BAAS courses) use online course evaluation surveys instead of paper ones. After an administrator has created online surveys and sent them to students, the administrator can generate a report of which students have filled out the survey and which have not. Students can then be targeted for reminders, increasing the response rate.

Go to the CITS Training document Participation Tracking Quick Reference Guide for instructions on the process.

Note: Participation tracking is only available for online Class Climate evaluations, not for print ones.
