Troubleshooting log-in for Virtual Lab
This article will show where to find log-in credentials for your Virtual Lab.
To find the log-in credentials for your Virtual Lab, you will need to find the e-mail which provided your instructions for accessing your course. This e-mail is typically sent one week before the start of the semester. The link below shows what it looks like for a Data Science student; other program students will see a similar e-mail.
It is best to download the client on to your computer and access the Virtual Lab through your computer that way. You may be able to log in through the web-based version, but it is strongly recommended that you log in through the downloaded client on your machine.
If you encounter trouble logging in, there are a few things to consider and try.
- Make sure you are using the correct username and password. Do not copy and paste these credentials - try keying them in manually. Sometimes copy/paste can cause trouble by adding a space on either end of the password field which can go unnoticed.
- Make sure you have downloaded the correct client. Note: The client that ends with UWP is NOT the correct one for students in any of our programs. Be sure you download the correct one for your operating system (i.e. Windows/Mac/Linux).
- Make sure the client you have downloaded is the most recent version. If you have already downloaded the client in a previous semester, you may need to uninstall the client on your machine and reinstall the most recent one by following the directions found in KB article 54991.
