D2L Blue Screen with Beeps

The user is presented with a blue screen and beeping sounds when they log into D2L.


The user is presented with a blue screen and beeping sounds when they log into D2L.

The cause of this issue is a missing/corrupt Real Player codec used by the D2L Pager feature.

·         Have the user run a system check

This system check will determine if the user has the appropriate software installed for D2L use.

·         Install/Update Flash player
http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
Be Sure to UnCheck the option to install Google Chrome, or any other optional software. If the user is currently using Google Chrome, have them download Flash Player using a different browser as Chrome automatically updates Flash for itself.

·         Install Real Player

·         Install QuickTime
http://www.apple.com/quicktime/

·         Install Windows Media Player
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/download
