Setting up iPhone to sync with Exchange

This is how to setup a appointment on an iPhone so that it syncs with the exchange calendar.

Setup your work email on your phone by doing the following.

1st step, go to the setting app on your phone it will be where ever you put it, but the icon should look like the one circled below
.

2nd step, scroll down till you find the setting that reads "Mail, Contacts, Calendars"

3rd step, click on "Add Account"

4th step, tap on "Exchange"

5th step, put in your Email address and password. For the description you should name it something that you will know is your email that goes to the exchange server, this will help later on when making sure you have the right calendar added.  It is possible that in the description you need to leave the default "Exchange" if you are getting a error when you hit next.

6th step, you will come to window that will show "Mail, Contacts, Calendars”, Reminders" at least make sure that the Calendars has a green mark next to the name, otherwise it will not sync with the exchange server. Then click save in the upper right hand corner of the screen.

7th step, once that is done, go back to the home screen and tap on the Calendar app.

8th step, when you are on the date you want to add an event, tap the "+" in the upper right hand corner of the screen.

9th step, from there fill all the information you need and then scroll down to where it says Calendar and tap on it.

10th step, you should see a line that says "Calendar" it should be under the name you put in the description for your email account back in step 5.

11th step, from there make sure you have everything you want filled out then tap on the "Add" in the upper right hand corner of the screen and your event will be add and it should take a few minutes for it to populate over to the exchange server and show up on your Calendar.
