Office 365 Users Unable to View Shared Calendars in Outlook 2011 for Mac

This document shows users a workaround when a calendar is shared with a free/busy level of permission with users on Office 365, and users cannot add the calendar to their calendar view in Outlook 2011 for Mac.

What's the issue?

When a calendar is shared with a free/busy level of permission with users on Office 365, users cannot add the calendar to their calendar view in Outlook 2011 for Mac. Microsoft is aware of the issue and has provided a workaround as shown below. Also, please make sure that you have upgraded Office 2011 to the latest version.

Workaround

To open a shared calendar in Outlook for Mac 2011, the user must grant permissions of Reviewer or higher.
Otherwise, you can view the user's Free/Busy information by creating a new meeting request and adding that user in the Scheduling Assistant. Tips on how to do this can be found here.
