Office 2013 Shared Calendar Problem

Registry fix to resolve a sharing issue with Office 2013 calendars

Issue: Outlook 2013 calendar share permissions error. Individuals sharing calendars will receive a message stating they don’t have permission to access the calendar even when they have been granted an editing role permission by the owner.

Problem: A known compatibility issue between Office 365 and Outlook 2013 client with the MAPI/HTTP connection type.

Solution: Disabled the MAPI/HTTP  connection type and revert back to the RPC/HTTP connection type. *We recommend only initiating this solution if the individual is having the problem.

Add the following Registry key or merge the registry key found here ( \\citpsrv001v\cits\Outlook 2013 Share Fix\MAPIHTTPDisable_Key.reg ) to the individuals pc experiencing the error.

Registry key location – HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Exchange

DWORD: MapiHttpDisabled with value 1

Remove the shared calendar and re-add the calendar to the individual’s mailbox profile before making edits.
