Kaltura - Copying the Media Gallery in D2L
When an instructor copies content from one D2L course to another, the Kaltura Media Gallery video repository doesn't automatically copy over. After copying over the rest of their course content, instructors can take the extra step to copy over some or all of the videos in a course's Media Gallery.
Each UW Colleges course in D2L (Brightspace) comes with a shared video repository, the Kaltura Media Gallery.
1) In the destination course, go to Resources > Media Gallery
2) Go to Actions > Import. If you don't have anything in the Media Gallery yet, you'll also see the following option, which does the same thing: To import content from another channel you manage, click here.
3) Choose the other course you'd like to import videos from and click Import. You can only import Media Gallery items from D2L courses you're enrolled in.
4) All of the videos from the Media Gallery of the other course will be added to the Media Gallery of the destination course.
NOTE: The Media Gallery may include video created by students. When copying video from one course to another, instructors should make sure to leave out any student-created materials which could violate FERPA student privacy laws.
