Adobe Creative Cloud Contract

Adobe Creative Cloud Contract ETLA

Adobe Enterprise Term License Agreement (ETLA)

UW System and Adobe signed a new Enterprise Term License Agreement (ETLA) on 11/18/2016. It gives campuses the right to install and use Creative Cloud applications and services through 11/17/2019.

Two Methods for acquiring/accessing the products:

  • Named-user licensing integrates NetID login (Email address) with the software licensed under the ETLA. It lets currently-employed faculty and staff use Creative Cloud software and Creative Cloud services on UW- and personally-owned computers. Adobe does limit named-user logins to a maximum of two active installations.
  • Serialized installs, which is how most ETLA software has been installed. The installers can be used on UW-owned computers in computer labs or, as departmental IT policy dictates, across departments. IT staff would use the AdobeCreative Cloud Packager (CCP) tool to create installers, using any combination of apps they want.

Software Included in the ETLA:

The CLP Contract

UW System has been purchasing software under the Adobe Cumulative Licensing Program (CLP) for many years. We renewed our CLP for another 2-year term in May, 2016, both for the applications not included under the ETLA and for the campuses not participating in the ETLA.

Software Not Included in the ETLA that is still available under the CLP:

  • Coldfusion
  • Coldfusion Builder
  • Framemaker
  • Director
  • Font Folio
  • Premiere Elements
  • Authorware
  • Freehand
  • Media Server
