2024 KnowledgeBase (KB) User Group Meeting

Our annual KB User Group Meeting will take place the week of July 29-August 2, 2024. We will host a week of virtual sessions spanning a range of topics related to the KB, including content strategy, accessibility, process improvements, and more.

Session Topics

To give you an idea of what you can expect at this year's meeting, here are some of the sessions we are currently planning (pending finalization):

  • Applying plain language concepts to your KB documents
  • Do's and don'ts of KB document design
  • The UW-Madison Accessibility Policy and how it affects you
  • Updates on the KB document edit screen redesign
  • Considerations for the KB's new semantic search engine + live testing
  • Artificial intelligence and how it can be used in knowledge management practices
  • A look at how the DoIT Help Desk is linking KB documents to incident resolutions
  • A review of one group's project to drive KB adoption in their unit
  • Future possibilities for applying institution themes in the KB
