Helpful Canvas Tips
A document to highlight the main features of Canvas and how to navigate through them.
Canvas Global Navigation Menu
When you first log into Canvas, you will be brought to your Dashboard global navigation tab [1]. The global navigation tabs provide access to features of Canvas that you will use frequently.

The Account tab [2] will display links to your user information (Profile, Settings, Notifications, Files, and ePortfolios) as well as a Logout button.

The Courses tab [3] will expand and display all of the courses that you are currently enrolled in. Simply click on the course link to navigate to that course.

The Calendar tab [4] will open up a calendar with highlighted due dates of assignments and quizzes to all of the courses that you have selected.

The Inbox tab [5] will bring you to your open conversations in the Canvas messaging system where you can communicate with the other users within your courses.

Finally you will have the Help tab [6] where you can search through all of the Canvas guides for answers to common questions, as well as find contact information for Tech Support.
