Kaltura Unable to Connect Error

There is a known issue with Kaltura Capture version 4.2.110 (October 25, 2020), where some users are unable to upload videos. Users encountering this problem may run into a variety of error messages, ranging from "Pending" to "We are unable to connect right now. Please check your network and try again later." This document will walk through how to recover your Kaltura Capture recording and upload it via Canvas.

For Windows Users:

1) Open your file explorer and enable hidden files by selecting "View" and then checking the hidden items box

2) Next navigate to the following file path: C:\Users\<Username>\AppData\Local\Kaltura\Capture\Recordings

3) Locate the .mp4 file of your Kaltura recording (the filenames don't correspond to video titles, so you may need to browse through the files by date and test several files to find the right one) and move it to a more accessible location such as your Desktop or Documents folder

4) From within the Canvas assignment choose the Upload/Record Media tool from the content editor
