GIF (Graphics Interchange Format)
Is defined as a binary-encoded 2D raster data type image format that ordinarily uses the .gif extension. KB Authors can drag, copy, or upload non-animated .gif images directly into the text editor of their KB documentation.
Group Docs (gDocs)
Enabling this checkbox grants the user author status and access to the Documents tab in the KB User's Guide. Users can create new documents for the group and edit any document that belongs to your group.
Users cannot edit documents with custom write restrictions unless they have authorization.This setting combined with the three permissions of iKB, oDocs and gdocs forms what is known as "basic author permissions"
Group Space
A dedicated workspace for a campus unit, department, or IT group to create, store, manage, and collaborate on documents, as well as share documents with and receive documents from other Group spaces.
GUI (Graphical user interface)
Refers to the visual layout that lets KB authors and administrators interact with the backend system using buttons, icons, and menus instead of text-based commands.
